Around the world, we are constantly working with our community to help them follow the rules, be good citizens and make cities better places to live, work and visit. Today, we are pleased to have signed an agreement with the Rome Prefecture to work together to promote responsible home sharing and to make it easier for hosts to follow the rules.
The agreement was signed at the Rome Prefecture today.
Airbnb and Rome will now work together to:
- Promote responsible home sharing in Rome – We want to be good partners to cities and help hosts be good citizens. We will work together to develop and promote a web page with clear and simple tips on being a responsible host in Rome, including links to official guidance and information.
- Simplify guest registration processes – Our community wants to follow the rules and we want to help. Our website is now linked to the Rome Police website, making it easier for hosts to register their guests with the police, in line with local laws.
We are proud to be working with officials in Rome to promote responsible home sharing and help hosts follow the rules. This agreement shows our commitment to working with authorities around the world and the importance of working together to develop simple processes that are easy for regular people to follow.
Today’s announcement follows good news from Florence last week, where Airbnb signed an agreement with the City to work together to simplify tourist tax rules, promote responsible tourism and educate hosts on home sharing rules in the city.
